TERAGAMEZ ("we", "us") respects the privacy of everyone who uses One Song a Day Kalimba (the "App") and complies with the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea and other applicable laws. This policy explains what information the App collects, why, and how we use, keep and delete it.
At a glance
- No sign-up, no login. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number.
- On first launch, the App creates a random device ID and registers it with our server. Your scores, points and purchased songs are linked to this ID.
- Rankings show your nickname (default "Player") and scores to other users.
- Free users see ads from Google AdMob, which may use your advertising identifier. Premium users see no ads.
- Payments are processed by the App Store and Google Play. We never receive your card number or other payment details.
- The recorder saves only the App's own sound to your device. The App does not access your microphone, camera, location or contacts.
1. Information we collect and why
| Category | Data | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Device account (all users, automatic) | A random device ID created on first launch (used only by this App and regenerated if you reinstall), platform (iOS/Android), account creation time, last access time, an internal account number assigned by our server | Telling users apart, keeping you signed in (issuing an authentication token), handling inquiries and deletion requests |
| Nickname (all users) | The default "Player" or a nickname you set on the MY tab (up to 20 characters) | Showing your name in rankings |
| Play records (if you play songs) | Best score per song and difficulty, accuracy, max combo, stars, time recorded; total plays, total stars and number of songs cleared | Providing best records, progress and rankings; blocking abnormal scores |
| Points & owned songs | Points balance, points history (welcome gift, ad rewards, purchases, song purchases, amount, balance and time), owned songs, Premium status | Granting and spending points, providing purchased songs, enforcing the daily ad-reward limit, resolving disputes |
| Payment data (if you make a purchase) | Store, product ID, store transaction ID, store receipt data, verification time | Verifying and delivering purchases, preventing duplicate grants and payment fraud, restoring purchases, handling refunds, keeping transaction records required by law |
| Connection data (all users, automatic) | IP address, access time, requested address and result, app/device information (User-Agent) — kept in server access logs whenever the App talks to our server | Service security and abuse prevention, troubleshooting |
The following information is stored only on your device and never sent to our servers: settings (language, kalimba type, play-screen orientation, number labels, sustain and volume), whether you finished the tutorial, Study progress, recent plays, the song list and chart cache, and recordings (WAV). Recordings are a direct capture of the App's sound output; on iOS they are also visible in the Files app. All of this is deleted when you uninstall the App.
We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, postal address, photos, location, contacts or microphone audio, and we do not use any analytics or tracking SDK.
2. Advertising
Free users are shown rewarded ads (watch to earn points) and interstitial ads (once every three result screens) through Google AdMob, an advertising service of Google LLC. To show and measure ads and to confirm rewards, Google may collect your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID, iOS IDFA), IP address, device and app information, and ad views and clicks. This information is processed by Google, not by us, under Google's privacy policy.
- On iOS, the App asks for App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission before the IDFA is used. If you do not allow it, the IDFA is not used and you see non-personalized ads.
- On Android, you can reset or delete your Advertising ID under Settings → Google → Ads.
- Buying Premium removes all ads, and the ad SDK no longer requests ads.
3. How long we keep information
- Device account, nickname, play records, points and owned songs: kept until you ask us to delete them or the service ends. We delete them within 3 business days of receiving a deletion request.
- Payment records (point packs and Premium): kept for 5 years as required by the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce. If you request deletion, they are stored separately from other data and destroyed when the period ends.
- Server access logs: kept for up to 6 months for security, then deleted.
- Any other information that the law requires us to keep is kept for the period the law specifies.
4. Sharing and public information
We do not sell your personal information or provide it to third parties, except when a law-enforcement or other authority requests it through lawful procedures.
Rankings: song rankings show your nickname, score and rank to other users of the App. Please do not use your real name, contact details or anything else that identifies you as your nickname.
5. Processors and international transfers
To run the service, we entrust some processing to the companies below, and an external service built into the App processes some information directly.
| Company | Task | Data processed | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services, Inc. | Operating our servers and database (processor) | Device account, nickname, play records, points, payment data and connection data from Section 1 | AWS cloud region (Republic of Korea or overseas) |
| Google LLC (AdMob) | Showing and measuring ads, confirming rewarded ads | Advertising identifier, IP address, device and app information, ad views and clicks | Google data centers in the United States and elsewhere |
International transfers: if our server is in an overseas region, or when ads are shown, the data above is transmitted over the network to that country at the time you use the App. It is kept for the periods in Section 3 and under each company's policy. To avoid ad-related transfers, you can use Premium or turn off personalized ads via iOS tracking permission or Android Advertising ID settings; to avoid transfers to our server, you can stop using the App and request deletion.
App Store payments are handled by Apple Inc. and Google Play payments by Google LLC, directly and under their own privacy policies (Apple · Google).
6. Deletion of information
When a retention period ends or the purpose of processing has been achieved, we delete the information without delay. Electronic files are deleted in a way that cannot be recovered.
7. Your rights and how to exercise them
You may ask at any time to access, correct, delete or stop the processing of your personal information.
- Correcting your nickname: change it yourself on the MY tab.
- Deleting or accessing server data: there is no in-app account deletion button. Email us at the address below with the Device ID shown at the bottom of the MY tab (it starts with dev-) and your nickname. We act on the request after confirming the device ID.
- Deleting on-device data: uninstalling the App deletes all settings, progress and recordings stored on your device. Uninstalling does not delete server data, so if you want that deleted too, note your device ID before uninstalling and send us a request.
Residents of the EU and UK may exercise their rights under the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability), and California residents their rights under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell personal information.
8. Children's privacy
The App is a general-audience app suitable for all ages and is not directed primarily at children under 14 (under 13 in some countries). We do not knowingly collect additional personal information from children, and the App never asks for a name or contact details. A parent or guardian may email us with the child's device ID to access or delete the child's data, and we will handle the request without delay.
9. Security measures
- Communication between the App and our server is encrypted with HTTPS (TLS).
- After device sign-in, requests are authenticated with a token signed by our server (JWT).
- Before delivering an in-app purchase, our server verifies the store receipt and prevents the same transaction from being used twice.
- Access to servers and the database is limited to the minimum number of staff.
10. Automatic collection tools
The App does not use cookies or analytics tracking tools. The only external tool built into the App is the ad SDK (Google AdMob) described in Section 2, and you can refuse the use of your advertising identifier as explained there.
